Small Business Web Design Support

‘Cause You’ve Got More Important Things to Do…

Like Run Your Business

Whether you own a neighbourhood bike shop, teach teams to mind-map as a consultant or you’re an author, podcaster and music journalist, your home on the web needs to be ready to go, working 24/7, so you don’t have to.

It can’t do that if it’s been languishing like the dinner your cat turned her nose up at.

Let’s fix that with some targeted website support!

Even if your business is brand new, you aren’t

You’ve been around long enough to know that retaining customers is what keeps a business going. But they need to know you exist. Visibility comes from being findable as much as from making some noise. If you’ve tried social media for your biz, you know the algorithm is fickle.

Your website is the one place online where you’ve got control of what people see that showcases who you are, what your business does, and why they should buy from you.

And when it’s out of date, confusing, or half-finished… it does the opposite.

Whether you need maintenance, updates, or someone to just take tasks off your plate–this is the support side of web design.

Peek Under the Hood (Squarespace Website Audit)

You’ve built your site yourself and need clear guidance to improve design, user experience, copy, SEO, and mobile responsiveness.

Investment: $175

DIY-ing your website is a great way to get started. Once you’ve got it up and running, it can be helpful to get it reviewed by a professional. Get clear advice and concrete steps on how to improve your site.

I’ll review:

  • Design - Overall design including brand fit

  • UX - User experience including accessibility issues

  • SEO - Basic on page SEO (Search engine optimization.)

  • Functionality - (Is it easy to navigate? Do the buttons and links all work?)

  • Copy - (Are there typos? Does it convey things clearly?)

  • Responsiveness - (Does it look good and work well on mobile?)

You’ll receive a document with next steps and suggestions to implement as well as a video walk through explaining why they’re needed. If you decide to book a website redesign, your audit payment will apply towards the new site.

Investment: $175

Monthly Tune-Up (Ongoing Squarespace Maintenance/Support)

Keeping your website current takes more time and attention than most business owners expect.

When your schedule gets full, updating your site is often the first thing to fall off the list. That’s where I come in.

With ongoing website support, you can hand off the updates and know your site stays current, accurate, and working for your business.

Monthly support packages start at $250

As your business grows, it can get harder to stay consistent with website updates.

Things like:

  • adding new products

  • uploading blog posts

  • updating content and images

  • publishing podcast episodes

  • adding new portfolio projects

Instead of letting those tasks pile up, you can hand them off and know they’re taken care of.

Support packages start at $250/month for up to two hours of help.

If you need more time, larger packages and quarterly or annual billing are available.

The Laundry-List (Flexible Squarespace Task Support)

Book a dedicated half or full day of focused website support.

We’ll start with your list of updates and prioritize what matters most so your site gets meaningful progress in one focused session.

Full Day Investment: $1200

Half Day Investment: $750

In a full day we can often accomplish things like:

  • updating multiple pages with new copy or images

  • refreshing sections with new branding

  • uploading blog posts or podcast episodes

  • adding portfolio projects or shop items

  • adjusting layouts to improve usability

Before your scheduled day, you’ll send over your task list and I’ll review it so we can prioritize the most impactful updates.

Full Day Investment: $1200

Half Day Investment: $750

The Hand-Over (Squarespace Template Customization)

Bought a Squarespace template but don’t want to spend hours figuring out how to make it all work?

Hand it over. I’ll upload your content, style the template to match your brand, and connect the pieces you need so you’re left with a personalized, ready-to-launch website.

Investment starting at $1200

Once you’ve chosen your template, I’ll step in to customize it using your content and brand details.

This includes things like:

  • uploading your copy, images, and media

  • styling pages with your colours and fonts

  • setting up your page titles and descriptions for SEO

  • connecting your social links and newsletter

  • uploading your first blog posts or podcast episodes

I’ll handle the behind-the-scenes setup so your site is fully prepared to go live.

This service focuses on customizing the existing pages in your template, rather than designing entirely new ones from scratch.

Investment starting at $1200

No matter whether you just want to hand off an update to your site or get a brand new website without the DIY stress and time-suck, I’ll take care of things so you don’t have to.

Asking for help when you feel overwhelmed? If you’re GenX, that’s generally the last option.

But when it comes to your website, sometimes handing things off is the smartest move you can make.

I’ve worked in many small businesses across a large number of industries (retail, tech, e-commerce, manufacturing, the arts, you name it) which  means other than my outside-of-the-box viewpoints, I’m bringing a massive range of insights to your unique business.

My perspective on design isn’t just making things look pretty, it’s ensuring that the user experience is top priority. That means usability and accessibility are top of mind at all times.

I may not really walk on water, but I will talk you down from the seemingly cool horizontal scrolling that actually drives site users mad (and makes them bug out in a flash).

In short:

I’ll take care of any updates, pesky buttons that stopped working, or anything else that’s been glaring at you from your website to-do list.

So you can do absolutely anything else.

We’ll talk through what you need, what makes sense for your website, and whether I’m the right person to help.
